SIM Workbench® and the Cav-Bal® Correction Engine are developed by Moulding Optimisation Ltd, a UK-based injection moulding consultancy specialising in Scientific Injection Moulding, process optimisation, validation support and troubleshooting. The software has been developed from practical moulding experience to give engineers better tools for process studies, reporting and cavity-balance correction.
More Than a Spreadsheet
Traditional SIM studies are often recorded in Excel workbooks, copied from older templates or rebuilt from site to site. SIM Workbench™ gives engineers a more consistent workflow, with built-in study logic, graphing, data handling and reporting.
The aim is not to replace engineering judgement. The aim is to support it with better tools.
Built for Moulding Engineers
SIM Workbench® is intended for use during real process development work, from new mould trials and validation support through to transfer projects, troubleshooting and process window development.
The software is standalone and runs on Windows. No Microsoft Excel licence is required.
OPTIONAL CAV-BAL® CORRECTION ENGINE
SIM Workbench® includes free cavity-balance measurement, imbalance calculations, profiles, graphs and reporting. The optional Cav-Bal® Correction Engine adds proprietary calculations that suggest hot-runner tip-temperature corrections from controlled cavity-weight profiles.
Instead of manually estimating every adjustment, Cav-Bal® helps engineers move from measured imbalance to a structured correction trial and retain the results with the study. Cav-Bal® is a paid feature, but it can be evaluated with a 30-day trial from within the free SIM Workbench® platform.
